You can bring forms to the meeting Sunday if you want. I always have computer problems for some reason so get them to me ASAP. We need all the bikes we can get so tell your friends to put their bike in the show even if it needs some work or a rider and has some dirt on it. Lots of work to do for the show.

Thanks,

Mike

Cherokee Chapter Oklahoma Road Run:

The Cherokee Oklahoma Chapter presented a Road Run in Locust Grove OK. Susie and I arrived on Thursday and the rest of the Diamond Chapter members arrived on Friday. We all stayed at the Best Western as did most riders. It was one of the best Best Western motel I had seen. They offered us free water, beer, and cookies at end of the day. The Friday ride was excellent with great scenery on the back roads, about 85 miles. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs were served at Cycle One Bike shop. Great day riding with new friends. Saturday was the big day. Everyone met at the Best Western around 8:00 am for riders meeting. I guess there was over 40 rider. Lyle and Mike did a great job of herding Cats and we all left around 8:45. Great job guys. Susie and I rode the BMW R90s, Jed and Kris rode their Honda CB 750, Russell and Elizabeth rode their Moto Guzzi,Scott Byrd rode his 1913 Harley, Stanley Miller rode his
Pan Head, and Butch and Pat followed in their truck. There was a great variety of vintage motorcycles. Lyle had a dead battery, I just happened to bring a extra battery for the BMW so he used it in his Harley. The ride was about 115 miles. Jed was having a little trouble with the Honda so we cut the ride short. The ride went well with no break downs and no one
on the trailer. That night at Cycle One the meal was Brisket with all the trimmings. Thanks to Red at Cycle One for being a great host. We all had a great time and a fun ride. Thanks to Lyle, Mike, and the Cherokee Chapter. Early Sunday morning around 1:30 the rain hit with Tornadoes about 30 miles away. Thanks again for a great time.  Mountains, Music, and Motorcycles: MMM as they call it in MT. View was a great Rally. Susie and I rode up highway 9 on some great back roads to MT. View on Friday. Hot Springs to MT. View is about 140 miles. Lots of venders and music on the square. Friday was a good day to look at the venders a do some riding around the area. We had dinner at Jo Jo’s on
the river and the catfish was excellent. Poker Run Saturday early before it got hot. The poker run was about 85 miles on scenic back roads, lots of turns. Bad poker hands as usual. Bands started playing around 7:00 on the square. The second band, Mr. Cabbagehead and the raven Radishes, was fantastic. The nine piece band , with several horns, played great 60’s and
70’s music. They played until 10:30. We had a great time and would recommend this Rally. Nice ride home on highway 9 with Dennis Ghegan and his friends.
