The 6th Annual Historic Downtown Hot Springs Mini Road Run was held Sunday June 26. We had 13 entrants and one passenger. Adding the Tower Mountain to the route was a challenging twist. Ascending to Central Ave we rode on to West Mountain Lookout. All made this part of the run with no problems. Turning onto Cedar St brought us though some older neighborhoods in the North Park Ave area. A stop at Rix Park brought to 3 on the rescue trailer, graciously provided by Butch and Pat Jones. As the riders arrived at the Golpha Gorge picnic area, a light lunch and ice cream were waiting for them. Lee Coltharp and James Eads returned again from Louisiana and we were glad they made the trip. Elizabeth Plunkett was our passenger with Russell on their 1970 Moto Guzi 750. Jed Simpson' wife Kris was a first time rider this year along with Eddie Chavez, Scott Byrd and Lanny Plummer from Cycles N Rodz. Thanks to Mike Parker for etched glass trophies. Awards are as follows. Smallest: Lee Coltharp 1982 Honda MB50 Smallest Oldest: Roy Skinner 1958 Cushman Eagle Oldest: James Sandage 1954 Harley 165 And the NEATO award went to Scott Byrd 1962 Harley Topper ( with custom seat, see photo) Our Mini Poster picture was supplied by Russ Norris.
